Exeter Plus is an Access and Outreach programme at Exeter College, Oxford for high-achieving Year 12 pupils from state schools who are interested in applying to selective universities including the University of Oxford.
The programme was established to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in applying to Oxford, combining an in person visit to Exeter College alongside virtual sessions. This programme piloted in 2022 and is now going into its 5th year of running.
The 6‑month programme begins with an introduction to Oxford and Exeter College. As the sessions progress, students learn more about how the university application process works and get the chance to explore subjects connected to the degrees they are interested in studying. Throughout the programme the attendees have the opportunity to speak with Exeter College Staff, Student Ambassadors and Tutors.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime and allowing me to meet some brilliant people who I intend to cherish for life”– Exeter Plus participant
We especially welcome applications from students who may feel unsure about applying to Oxford and want to learn more. Because this programme is often very popular, places will be offered based on academic achievement and contextual factors. To give yourself the best chance, please complete the application form as thoroughly as you can. We value applications that showcase the applicant’s own voice and perspective, with limited reliance on AI assistance.
